A revolutionary training method!

Virtual reality

In the unique context of the pandemic, which has imposed numerous restrictions on the practice of our sport, we have sought innovative solutions to continue to develop the skills of our athletes while maintaining their motivation at the highest level. It is with this in mind that we have integrated virtual reality (VR) into our training programs.

The advent of virtual reality in training

This cutting-edge technology has become a key training tool for our players in recent years, offering an innovative approach to improving decision-making in match situations. The goal is to simulate real-world game scenarios in a virtual environment, allowing athletes to practice and refine their reflexes and decisions, even in the absence of traditional physical training.

Creation of realistic scenarios for optimal preparation

Our project consisted of creating virtual reality gaming situations that faithfully reproduce the challenges of a match. Each video sequence is designed to teach athletes not only to make the best decision, but also to make it at the right time using temporal occlusion.

Temporal occlusion: a tool to sharpen anticipation

This technique involves modifying the amount of information available in a video clip, imitating the athlete's perspective, to encourage anticipation and rapid reaction to varied situations. Participants then receive a screenshot of the last image seen with the ideal solution, providing valuable feedback to understand and learn from each action.

The adoption of virtual reality during this difficult period has allowed us to effectively continue the training and development of our athletes, ensuring constant progression and keeping their passion for sport alive.
